Presumptuous Apologies

Dear All

I would like to make a presumptuous apology to all just to be on the safe side.

Just in case anyone has emailed the websites address, I must report that even though the website is working, the email system is just being plain crazy and not working.

So please don't think that I am being a cruel, ungrateful human being, it is simply that technology is against me at the moment. Please don't refrain from getting in contact, I'm on its case and all emails will be responded to as swiftly as possible!

Yours apologetically

James Bourne Exhibition

The wonderful James Bourne (contributor to issue one) has an exhibition in Solihull running from 16th March - 16th May. There is also a private view on Thursday 19th March. This will be a show really worth checking out, I'll let the flyer speak for itself in explaining the show.
As an added bonus, contributors Ben Javens and Simon Peplow both have work in the exhibition, so check it out!

Thanks for your patience anyone who chooses to read this, I hope you enjoy the site and it's fruity goods. Feedback of any kind would be greatly appreciated, email me at robin.kirkham@wordofmouthmag.co.uk!

Yours Sincerely

Writing Opportunity

If there are any young (under 35) writers who are looking at the blog, you may be interested to pop over to Tindal Street Press' website as they are looking for submissions of short stories.

In celebration of their ten year anniversary of publishing fiction Tindal Street Press are looking to put together an anthology of short stories written by young talent. The anthology "Roads Ahead" will be edited by celebrated author Catherin O'Flynne, author of acclaimed novel "What Was Lost" which won last years Costa First Book Award, and was listed for the Man Booker.

This is a fantastic opportunity, the deadline for submissions is December 1st 2008. Head over to the website, via the link above for more information.

Impending Website

The Word Of Mouth website will be launched within the next couple of weeks. The website will finally be providing a platform for the magazine to be viewed in digital form by anyone who pleases.

Keep an eye on the blog for updates on Word Of Mouth's progress, news about contributors activities and literary events.

Apologies for the inaccurate colours on the image above (blogger seems to be unable to compute the correct colours), all the more reason to check out the website when it arrives to see what Issue One's cover really looks like.

Many thanks,
Editor
